The Discworld Graphic Novels

from Terry Pratchett

Imagine a flat world sitting on the backs of four elephants who hurtle through space balanced on a giant turtle and you have the Discworld, a place (and a time) strangely parallel to our own. In 1983, a small UK press published a novel called The Colour of Magic; three years later, the misadventures of an inept wizard named Rincewind and a naive tourist called Twoflower were continued with the publication of The Light Fantastic. And, an international publishing phenomenon was begun. Today the world knows that the Discworld is the setting for Terry Pratchetts phenomenally successful series of the same name; comprised of 37 titles and having sold more than 55 million copies worldwide, it celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2008. The Discworld Graphic Novels: The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic presents the first two volumes of this much-loved series in graphic novel form. Originally published as separate paperback originals in the UK in 1991 and 1992 respectively, these fully illustrated, four-color versions are now issued for the first time together in one beautiful edition.
